Need to capture what's on your screen? Taking a screenshot is easy on any device. Here's how to do it on Windows, Mac, iPhone, and Android.

Screenshot on Windows

Full screen

Press Windows + Print Screen. The screenshot is saved in Pictures → Screenshots.

Active window

Press Alt + Print Screen. The screenshot is copied to your clipboard - paste it somewhere.

Select an area (Snipping Tool)

Press Windows + Shift + S. Select the area you want to capture.

Full screen

Press Cmd + Shift + 3. Saved to desktop.

Select an area

Press Cmd + Shift + 4. Drag to select the area.

Window only

Press Cmd + Shift + 4, then Space. Click the window.

With Face ID

Press Side button + Volume Up at the same time.

With Home button

Press Home + Power at the same time.

Screenshot on Android

Press Power + Volume Down at the same time. Hold for a second.

On Samsung: You can also swipe with the edge of your hand across the screen.
