Sync your calendar across all your devices automatically
Imagine this: you make an appointment on your phone and it automatically shows up on your tablet and computer too. That is calendar syncing. In this guide you'll learn how to set it up so you never miss an appointment again.
What is calendar syncing?
With syncing, your calendar is stored "in the cloud" - on the internet with Google or Apple. All your devices connect to the same cloud calendar. Add an appointment anywhere? It shows up everywhere within seconds.
Advantages of syncing
- Always the same calendar on all your devices
- No more retyping appointments by hand
- Backup in the cloud (lost your phone? Your calendar is kept)
- Easily share calendars with family or colleagues
- Anki flashcards: study and remember effectively

Troubleshooting
Appointments don't show up on another device
- Check your internet connection
- Check that you're signed in with the same account
- Check that syncing is turned on
- Close the calendar app and open it again
- Wait a moment - sometimes syncing takes a minute
Duplicate appointments
This often happens when you have multiple calendar accounts:
- Choose one main calendar (Google or iCloud)
- Turn off or remove the other one
- Move important appointments to your main calendar
Wrong calendar selected
When creating an appointment, always check which calendar is selected. Otherwise the appointment won't show up everywhere.
Tips for using your calendar effectively
- Color coding: Use different colors for work, personal, sports, etc.
- Travel time: Include travel time when planning appointments
- Time blocking: Also schedule free time and breaks
- Weekly overview: Start each week by looking at your calendar
With a synced calendar you always have an overview and you'll never miss an appointment again!
