Create Email

A digital mailbox, also known as e-mail, is an absolute must these days. Many communications from businesses and governments today are almost all through e-mail or some other digital service. This allows for much faster and easier communication than traditional mail that must be physically sent and sometimes takes days to arrive.

To use an e-mail address on your PC, tablet or smartphone, you always have to create one first. By creating an email address, you ensure that your digital mailbox is active and can be used by other people to send emails to.

Create your own e-mail address

You can create an e-mail address with different providers, often with the choice between a free e-mail address or a paid e-mail address.

What is the difference between free and paid email addresses?

I understand that if you can choose between a free email address or a paid email address, the choice is often quickly made. Therefore, it is good to compare the advantages and disadvantages of free and paid email in order to make a good choice.

Advantages of free email

  • Often built in as a standard app on every PC/tablet/smartphone

Disadvantages free email

  • You don’t know where your data is

Advantages of paid email

Mailing with your own domain name

Once you have created your own e-mail address, you can set it up on your PC, tablet or smartphone. We have explained this in a comprehensive manual, with which you can easily set up your own e-mail on your device in a few steps: E-mail settings for IMAP - POP3 - SMTP

Once you have everything set up properly on your device, then you can email anywhere in the world using your own domain name. So with every e-mail you send, you advertise your own domain name, since the recipient will see it behind the @ part of your e-mail address!
